What makes my students special is their drive to learn! Every year I have students who are in their first year of full English instruction. It's exciting to see their determination to learn in a language that is relatively new for them in terms of academics. What makes me so excited about my group is how every activity, every task, every book and every resource is amazing for them. These students make my job fund and exciting each year!
My students are from the first or second Mexican American generation, and they live in a 95% minority neighborhood.
Our school is 95% low income and is located in the heart of a community that is changing drastically. Our community is beautiful however it lacks many opportunities for students. Therefore, as their teacher and community resident I strive to bring in the most opportunities I can do them.
My Project
I have received an amazing storage center that my students will use for their library books and reading logs. Unfortunately, I don't have the bins for that unit. I need some very heavy duty bins that will be durable for many uses and years to come. The bins would be needed for students to store their library books and reading logs.
Heavy duty bins that are colorful would be amazing for my young readers!..
These bins have a space to label students groups and also space for their books. The bins come in 4 colors which would also make it very easy for students to distinguish their group books. Teachers need to find the way to minimize time in looking for things. That's how these bins can help in our classroom..
