My Students

I am very excited to be starting my second year as a Special Education Teacher! Working with special needs students is a wonderful experience. With the support of my amazing ParaEducator, I can't wait to begin another year of making a difference for my students.

Every child needs something unique to maximize learning!

That unique thing can be as different as each child and can easily change day to day. I love meeting this challenge day in and day out and I invite you along this journey with me. Let's make a difference for a student today!

My Project

Many of my students find themselves extra hungry at one point or another, some daily! Although a school breakfast and lunch is well balanced and designed to fill up our students so they are ready for their day, some students just plain need more.

When you're hungry, it's hard to focus and learn.

When I have the chance to offer a student a healthy, filling snack on a day when their growing bodies are craving more, it makes all the difference. Misbehavior, wiggles and unfocused head rolls leave the classroom and a positive, excited learner returns. I want to fill my students with as much knowledge I can, filling their tummy is sometimes the first step.
