Seven days without exercise makes one weak! I teach 1st grade students in rural Wisconsin.

Due to budget restraints we were not able to purchase any playground equipment this year. My first grade room has been focusing on ways to keep our bodies healthy as well as appropriate cooperative play. The exercise the students receive outside of the classroom setting is very limited; therefore we play an important role in their daily exercise.

We need 6 soccer balls, 6 footballs, 6 basketballs, 6 kickballs and a cart to store this equipment. We need this sport equipment for the students to use during recess, classroom-teacher phy. ed. and cardio time. This equipment will help open the children's eyes to healthy activities outside of the school setting while providing them the experiences during the school day.
