Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class may be small but we pack a lot of energy, learning, growing, and kindness inside. I focus on creating a growth mindset so my students can try new things without the fear of failing. We work hard in our class and make sure to create time for learning through play and movement.
Teaching at a low income school has its challenges, but the growth I see in my students makes all the work worth it.
My students are grateful for the new additions we are able to add to the classroom. They love books and working during our rotations on the Chrome Books.
Having a small class has been a huge blessing this year. I am able to work one on one with my students more often. I love hearing the confidence in their voice when I have them explain a math problem to me. These are the moments I am striving for with each student this year.
My Project
I want to attend a teacher conference to help better my teaching and increase my classroom engagement! At the conference I will be learning about the teaching styles of many amazing educators. Professional developments like this one will also allow me to broaden my connections among other teachers. I will be able to receive and share new ideas all year long!
I will leave the conference feeling motivated and excited to take on the next school year!
I will be able to learn new ways to inspire and engage my students in their learning. I want to teach every school year in a meaningful and powerful way. Attending this conference will help open up those doors and better the education of my future students.
