My Students

I have a 2nd grade classroom full of hardworking students. We are a 1:1 iPad classroom and use technology for a variety of instructional tasks each day. My students are focused on being 21st century learners by using this technology.

These students deserve the best possible chance to be successful.

Because we are not a Title I school, we are limited on the funding we receive. My students depend on the generosity of others through grants to equip them with the extra tools they need to have the best chance for success.

My Project

Quality headphones are a necessity for implementing all of the applications on our classroom iPads with fidelity. Students will use these headphones to listen to directions, have questions read to them, or receive immediate feedback. Without the headphones, the sound from other students iPads becomes a distraction for everyone.

Using sound along with visuals allows students to achieve their full potential from an iPad in a 1:1 classroom environment.

In the past, we have asked parents to help purchase earbuds for their child to use. These ear buds do not hold up and many break within the first two weeks of use.

I am looking to purchase headphones that are more durable and all students can benefit from no matter what their economic background.
