My Students

Imagine visiting a large school, in a large suburban area that has a small country feel. And imagine the students come from ALL walks of life. Imagine a school that focuses its learning around a garden filled with vegetables and animals. That's the school where I go to teach each day!

The students I teach love coming to school to experience the positive learning environment and the hands on learning.

They can't wait to see what exciting activities the teachers have planned for them. Many of the activities are focused around our garden and technology is incorporated into lessons daily.

There are about 700 students in fourth and fifth grades on our campus. We are a Title One school. At our school, we strive for excellence!

My Project

My students are often engaged in lessons on their Chromebooks. Each student has lessons individualized to meet their needs. Without headphones, the whole class has to listen to their lesson or the chromebook has to be on mute. We are a Title I school and the students have been asked to bring in their own headphones, but many do not have the means to provide these types of materials. My students are always asking if we can get headphones so that they can hear their lessons better and proceed at their own pace.

Your donation to this project will provide students the opportunity to hear the lesson that has been assigned to them.

These headphones are just what we need to individualize instruction in our science classroom.
