My students need earphones and protective cases to ensure each student is able to listen to educational videos on their Chromebooks with minimal distractions.

"Economically Challenged Yet Passionate Scientists in the Making!" My students are some of the best students a teacher could as for. They are so well mannered and they appreciate a classroom culture with structure, discipline, high expectations, and tons of "MOTHERLY LOVE." I work with both 6th and 8th grade students that mainly come from well educated homes, but may face some economic disadvantages. 43% of our students receive either free/or reduced lunch. However, in my classroom, there are several students in foster homes, several students with 1 or more deceased parents, and some students with 1 parent incarcerated and the other parent unknown or absent. With all the odds against them, they come to school everyday with positive attitudes, a willingness to learn, and a PASSION for SCIENCE! This dynamic group of students makes me proud to get up everyday and say that I am a "TEACHER!" Most of the students in classroom, lack the basic classroom supplies to be successful. Without the necessary supplies, these students are not as successful as they want to be.
My students use Chromebooks each day for personalized learning. Some of their projects, pathways, and playlist require them to watch videos, play games, or just participate in classroom instruction/discussions. With the use of individual/personal earbuds, this will allow the students to feel confident in knowing they are not disturbing other students from learning. By allowing each student to have their own plastic storage bag will also keep the earbuds sanitized after each class period.
Hearing is an important part of learning!!
It not only makes listening much easier for the students, but also allows the teacher to have one-on-one teaching lessons as well as small group instructions each day without the interruption of loud music, games, or videos being played at the same time.
