Help me give my students headphones to aid in their use of technology!
This project expired on February 28, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many of them receive free and reduced-price breakfast and lunch at school. Despite these challenges that they face, my students come to school with positive attitudes, and are always excited to learn and grow.
The students in my classroom are very curious, and love to read and learn new things.
They are also very active, always moving around and have a hard time sitting still. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day.
I hope to create a classroom that encourages creativity, and allows my students ample opportunities for exploration and meaningful learning.
iPads: check, keyboards: check, headphones... I am asking for a class set of headphones to aid in our use of technology in the classroom. We currently have headphones that break, get stuck in the iPads, or do not work from the start, which makes using technology difficult. With apps that will read to students, or verbally ask questions, it is important that our headphones are working.
These headphones will allow students to listen to books, take tests, and watch instructional videos on their iPads without disrupting the rest of the students in the classroom.
I know my students will be very appreciative of the headphones they receive because it will allow them to hear the volume on their iPads again!
