My classroom is full of many different types of learners. This year, we have several English language learners and students of various learning styles. They are all actively moving and striving to be on task. They enjoy sitting and standing in our classroom.
My students have come from all around the world, from many different and often difficult situations.
Our classroom instruction can move from learning letters to reading very quickly. We help students learn English while holding on and becoming literate in their own language as well. They hold the American Dream, but need the tools to make them successful.
My Project
These early learners are eager and excited about their education and would benefit greatly from more hands-on experiences. Many of my students have limited educational experiences and require information presented in various forms to increase their understanding.
Help me give my students an improved classroom library with a wider selection and variety of books to choose from.
Listening to stories on tape and CD would benefit them.
With a wide range of backgrounds, abilities, and needs, my students are motivated and learn best when content is taught in a smaller and more personalized learning environment. With a CD player and soft seats they will enjoy the stories read to them as part of their learning.
