My Students

I teach a diverse group of kind, helpful, and caring second graders. They are full of energy and radiate happiness. There is a strong sense of community in our classroom. It is extremely important for me to build strong relationships with each and every one of them to create trust and safety in our classroom. The children are great friends and get along so well with one another. My students have been extremely flexible as they have navigated remote and in-person learning. The amount of grit and hard work they have demonstrated is admirable.

My students love to learn!

They are very curious, inquisitive, and creative. They enjoy making up games to play together. Our classroom is a place where all learning styles and ability levels are met by accommodating their needs. This group is a joy and I am lucky to be their teacher!

My Project

My students use headphones throughout the day for iReady math and reading lessons, reading on Epic books, and assignments on Google Classroom and Seesaw. They are especially useful as we toggle between virtual and in-person learning. Our class set of headphones tend to get much wear and tear. They often break and need to be replaced.

We need new headphones to ensure the learning continues.

Is it very important that the students hear the instruction on their online reading and math program to improve their skills and meet their end of year goals.
