My Students

My preschoolers were born eager to learn. They are naturally curious and full of questions. Because young children learn about the environment by interacting with it, they need activities that promote exploration and creativity. They also need access to technology and technology tools to enhance school readiness skills.

Technology and technology tools provide another way for preschoolers to explore concepts and skills.

Over 90% of the students in my class have qualified by meeting federal poverty guidelines. Some of them deal with food insecurity, poverty, and homelessness. Many have limited opportunities to learn about their environment and spend most of their time indoors.

Despite the challenges they face everyday, my students want to learn and are excited about any new opportunities they are offered!

My Project

These headphones will create a less distracting environment when my preschoolers are working on their tablets. Tablets are used at various times throughout the day to work on IXL. IXL links my students to language arts and math skills that enhance their knowledge and remediate gaps in their understanding.

Headphones will help my preschoolers hear better and block out disturbing noises when working independently on their tablet.

When other students are working in learning centers, it is very distracting and loud. Students working on IXL lose focus and cannot stay engaged in their activity. Headphones will block the noise and allow my preschoolers to keep learning.
