This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being young scientists, my students are inquisitive and are constantly questioning the world around them. They have many talents and skills that they bring to our classroom every day. They are creative and critical thinkers who are developing a scientifically based view of their worlds. They are problem solvers who are not afraid to take on complex challenges. Our school serves students of all abilities and proudly promotes the idea that all students can learn, but not on the same day and not in the same way. For our second semester, we study Health. My students take the skills they learned in Science and apply it to Health topics that will affect the lives now and in the future.

My Project

Having headphones would be a great improvement in my classroom. They can have many benefits for all types of learners. In my classroom my students may be working through a lesson with audio and video and the headphones will allow them to work at their own pace. For my English language learners, they are able to have documents, articles, and notes read aloud to them as they follow along. The thick padded headphones that go over the ears are perfect for students who need an extra quiet classroom to focus while taking a quiz or completing an assessment.
