Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I elementary school. My students face many challenges in their lives everyday. My students love coming to school and we are a school family. This year I started flexible seating, which you can see in the picture, my students love that their classroom is home away from home.
My students love using technology!
They can communicate with each other and their teachers. They love making and watching google slide presentations. I love when they get excited about about a project and are able to work hands-on!
My Project
Our campus is big on technology and my kids love that they have access to Chromebooks in the classroom but we need headphones to get the best use of the programs available! Many of our families do not have the means for such things as supplying headphones and other items for their children.
The use of these requested JVC headphones will allow my students to work at their own pace without having to hear other student's computers.
They can work on Google Slides and making presentations without worrying about volume control. They will use the headphones for Education Galaxy, which is a program that teaches math, reading, writing and science. When they do well, the program allows them to play an educational game! This is such a great incentive that motivates the students to do their best.
