I want each child to have the most fulfilling experience that we can offer. Our school primarily serves a suburban community but also includes low-income housing as well as students from rural areas. The school has been designated a Title I school due to the number of low socioeconomic families served. Many of the students in our class have parental support; however, there are a substantial number of children who lack any educational assistance beyond what is offered in the classroom. I also serve several very bright children for whom enrichment is essential.
My Project
My sixteen new students need high-quality headphones so that they can better use Imagine Learning to supplement daily classroom reading instruction. This software provides individualized assessment with reinforcement where necessary.
Each of my first-grade students spends 20 minutes daily working independently at the listening station developing reading skills.
With many students in a classroom, headphones are a must for students to be able to focus on their individualized software lessons. Without them, students continuously get mixed up or involved in another classmate’s assignment.
Headphones will help them stay focused on their work and individual learning assignments and allow them to grow.
