This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

When students step into 3rd grade at Chrysler, they know it means hard work. Each and every student is held to the highest standards of not only becoming effective learners, but also becoming ethical people in the process. When they achieve their goals, all they can do it smile! Boy, does this 3rd grade class like to smile!

Their excitement and eagerness to take on challenges, continually reminds me why I became a teacher in the first place.

I look forward to watching them grow and cannot wait to hear about their amazing futures.

My Project

We feel strongly that a technology-infused curriculum is helping to prepare our scholars for the world of today. Therefore, we use computers daily in the classroom. We have been so fortunate to have 1-1 technology, however, we have not been provided with the necessary headphones for independent computer use.

Headphones are essential to the daily computer use in the classroom.

We use headphones for online instruction, digital bookmaking, fluency practice, and more. In addition, computers are used for diagnostic testing and state assessments. Some students are able to bring headphones from home, but many cannot afford them. Even when students are able to bring in headphones, they don't last long. Students really need some good quality headphones for computer use.
