My Project

My second grade students are a group of ethnically diverse learners who are eager to incorporate technology into their learning experiences. They come from a variety of backgrounds, and these hard workers are beginning to develop into independent thinkers! They love to learn and the use of technology in the classroom keeps them engaged.

Many of my students are bilingual and a great percentage of my students come from low-income households, where purchasing school supplies is a financial challenge.

Each of my students are special in their very own way, and I look forward to helping them realize their potential throughout their school year in second grade!

Technology has become an imperative component of everyday life, not excluding the elementary classroom. My students have school-issued Chromebooks and utilize them to practice math/reading fluency on a daily basis. In addition, my students would love to record themselves reading their writing projects in order to share them with classmates. My bilingual students will benefit from utilizing websites that encourage them to read aloud in both English and in their native language. Headphones would reduce the distractions that occur when each child is speaking at the same time. In addition, this would enhance their learning by enabling each child to develop independent work skills, progressing at his/her own pace.
