Hear Our Way Into Learning
Help me give my students headphones to isolate their individualized instruction on Chromebooks.
My students arrive at school every morning with smiles on their faces, eager to learn. They come from culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse families. Many of my students qualify for free and reduced-priced lunch meals, a program supported by our Title I school, and some of them learn English as their secondary language.
Regardless of the obstacles that my students face at home and in the community, my school offers a safe environment that encourages academic and social growth for all.
Our students "ROAR with Pride" by being respectful, responsible, and safe. It is my goal, as a kindergarten educator, to promote this school-wide motto by creating a fun, yet educational, learning atmosphere for my students.
A portion of my students’ supplementary lessons is administered through Chromebooks. During their individualized center instruction, students log on to a website that personalizes their assignments based on their mathematical and linguistic educational level. These programs are crucial for student growth and provides each student the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
Headphones are necessary to limit distractions while students work on their own, differentiated lessons on their Chromebooks.Since students are working at their own pace, it is impossible to synchronize their audio playback.
With headphones, each student will be able to clearly hear their own prompts, while simultaneously muting the prompts of others.
