My Students

Our classroom is located in the middle of Denver, Colorado and is at the focuses on redefining how technology is used during instruction. My students are creative, thoughtful and ready to engage in topics that will help them shape and advocate for their future.

Given the variety of rich languages being spoken and cultures represented, it is our classroom's goal to retain and enhance all native and academic language being spoken at school.

It is our school's goal to appreciate and foster all language to support increased assessment proficiency in math and literacy

My Project

When students have access to the world at their fingertips, it is important that they have the tools to properly navigate multimedia they can learn from.

Not only is video and audio resources a great way to reach this YouTube Generation, it is also a Common Core Standard I must address.

Given that I have 1-1 Chrombooks, I can assign students multimedia resources that will meet their individual needs. English Language Learners will have access to programs and videos to help with their English Language Development, struggling students can watch reteach videos, advanced students can interact with materials that will continually present a challenge.

If each student has a set of headphones, they will be able to work without disturbing others. They will not need to go to the hall or in a corner, but will be able to focus on the task before them. It will also greatly help for mandated district and national testing.
