My students need hear myself phones so they can hear themselves as they read.
Imagine moving to a new country. You walk into a classroom and you may not have ever had any formal education before. You have never read or written and you have this smiling teacher talking to you in a language you don't understand. These are some of the students I teach every day.
I work in a school with a very high ESL population in the inner city of Houston, Texas.
Plus, our school was devastated by the horrific floods of Harvey. Many of my scholar were displaced and lost everything during the Harvey hurricane.
We help students learn English while holding on and becoming literate in their own language, as well. My students have come from many different and often difficult situations. They hold the American Dream, but need the tools to make them successful.
Also, they are great athletes and have the heart of a champion because they play sports with passion. They run like the wind and catch balls with ease. These children understand sports and are very competitive just like our Houston Astros.
My scholars need hear myself phones so as they read they can hear themselves and focus on what they are reading. This ingenious, fun-to-use phone lets children hear themselves talk & read so kids can really focus on every sound they say! Perfect for exploring letter sounds, phoneme blending, phonics practice, and oral reading. Also, the molded plastic phone is sized just for kids, with a lightweight, easy-grip handle.
When students hear themselves read, their reading comprehension doubles by using these phenomenal technique.
Therefore, this will make a huge impact in our students' learning especially when they are reading their health books.
This improvement will roller over into their other content areas like reading, language, social studies, science, math, music, art, and computer classes. Please help me get these great tools so our children can be successful.
