My Students
My 5th grade students are a diverse group from Los Angeles, California. They are bright and caring children who are eager to learn about new places and cultures. As students, they remain engaged and love to participate in interactive learning activities with their teacher.
Most of the children in my classroom do not have the means to visit places outside of their city; yet, possess a high level of curiosity for the world around them.
The students want to learn and know about places outside of their own community. They are constantly looking for ways to interact and engage with people who are different from themselves.
My Project
My students have been working at home for well over six months now. Most of them have more than one sibling and they are also working from home. They are required to find a quiet place to work from, however for most of my students this is extremely difficult. They often find themselves becoming distracted with what's happening around them and less with the lessons on zoom.
The headphones that I am requesting will provide my students the ability to block out the noise around them and concentrate on the instruction being given on zoom.
