My students are 6th, 7th and 8th graders from a rural area in Utah! They are passionate about exploring all that the world of theater has to offer. When we embarked on this adventure most thought theater was just acting and directing. Now we are unlocking all that theater has to offer. Collaborating with other classes to show how theater combines all the arts to make a production go. These students are learning how to write scripts, act, direct and produce shows. These skills will help them in high school as well as in their future.
My Project
My students will be using these microphones to record their voices, reading scripts that they wrote themselves. Voice acting is not something most schools adventure into but it is such a huge part of theater. I want to show them that acting is done on the stage, in movies and in animation.
The more we unite the arts the better off our students will be!
Collaborating with the other classes at our school. We are showing the students how the pipeline works in the real world of animation and voice acting. They will record their voices and then send it to the art class. The art class will be animating the voices into a cartoon, showing students how acting is more then just for the stage. The world of theater does so much for the students confidence and social skills. This project is a great way for students who have stage fright or who are timid to build their confidence both in class and out!
