My Students
My students come from a small, rural community. Our school is a K-2 building where 60% of the students are on free or reduced lunch.
My students are growing and learning everyday.
They love to be in an interactive environment. These seven and eight year olds come to school eager to learn with bright smiles and high expectations. I strive to differentiate my teaching to meet the individual needs of this diverse group. They love to learn, listen to stories, and play educational games that make learning fun and memorable.
My Project
I'm lucky enough to have a class set of Chromebooks available for my students. Technology in the classroom supports a wide variety of learners and their many, many needs. We use reading programs such as A-Z learning, Mobymax and Accelerated Reader. My students love using technology, but without proper earphones it is hard for them to concentrate on tasks given. They often become distracted when 20 kids are all trying to record themselves reading at the same time. With earphones, distractions will be minimized and students will be able to focus on the learning instead of each other.
Proper earphones will help students with learning games, reading programs and math practice that helps with their learning.
