This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We have some of the most amazing students in the downtown Kansas City area. Our students come from some very difficult situations and most have made some mistakes that made them need to come to our school to get the help they need to get back to their home schools. Our students have big hearts, and we strive to provide them with the tools they need to make better decisions so they can get to the bright futures they deserve. Our students are part of the under served population that receive free and reduced-price lunch. Breakfast and lunch is a crucial to the success of our students. Our students are grateful and appreciative when they receive assistance from others.
My Project
Our students will use the air fryer to cook their food they have purchased, been provided or to prepare in life skills. The air fryer will be used to teach them how to make quick healthy meals for their overall health. The microwave will be used to reheat foods.
Students really benefit from hot meals made fresh as much as possible.
They will practice cooking and eating healthy reduced-fat meals. Our students will be educated on making healthy food choices and how to cook quickly, 30 minutes or less meals.
