My students are lively, energetic, and deserve the best opportunity to grow. They often struggle with academic work, but love hands-on, active, engaging novels that challenge them to think outside the box to find solutions!
Each student in my classroom has experienced severe obstacles.
Many of my students have never read a novel and have never experienced the joy of writing about their life.
Many of the students come from single-parent families, some have been taken from their families and have been placed in group homes. My students have so many things working against them, but yet they still come to school. They struggle, and they complain, and they are often angry, but they still come to school.
They come to my class for the hope of something worthy of learning, for the chance to feel that they matter, and for the opportunity for something better.
Please help me do my best to help give them that opportunity.
My Project
These snacks have been chosen to give our students a healthy alternative to eat when they are hungry and need a little pick me up to get through the day. They are also great rewards for activities and participation. Many of our kids don't come to school with healthy alternatives, but rely on sugary snacks and soda. These bars are low sugar, high in protein, and delicious. We try to offer healhty options, but they often refuse because the snacks are not tasty. But these granola bars are delicious and healthy. Help us motivate our kids in a more healthy way. Thank you.
