I want to give my students so much because they have so little. Most of the students I work with come from homes below the poverty line, and I want them to have the chance to experience something that can influence their lives. These students are so disadvantaged that many of them don't have access to the simplest supplies at home.
At our school, there is a diversity of students.
They have a wide range of academic and physical abilities. Our gym is a multipurpose room and the students play many different activities during class such as kickball, tennis, and soccer. It's very difficult to find equipment for the students.
My Project
We have many of our students come from low income families and many of them lack hearty snacks at home. We can all agree that learning can be challenging at times. But learning on an empty stomach makes it difficult to stay engaged. A lot of our students at EBA stay after school for after school activity's, such as after school sports and homework club which most of the students do not bring snacks. Some of the students do go to the vending machine where they can purchase chips and soda which is not very healthy.
I would love to provide my students with a healthy snacks for after school!!
Having snacks like protein bars and healthy cookies would be great for the students because it is easy and quick when you are on the go. Also some of our students do not get enough vitamins at home and I want to have some on hand for students in need to bust there metabolism. These snacks provide a lot of healthy ingredients like fruits and nuts which can help keep students focused and engaged during after school activity's.
