Help me give my students pretzels chips, cheese itz, fruit roll ups, goldfish and pencils!

My students comes from Northeast and Southeast D.C. The majority of these students receive free and reduced priced lunch. The vision of our school is to be the "Flagship School" in the city with a strong focus on academic, arts, and family engagement. I strive to make my classroom a learning community that is safe, fun, and academically challenging in which students can foster leadership opportunities. Our school strives to be an academic learning center that provides students with a wide array of academic and extracurricular offerings that cater to diverse student interests and that cultivate the whole child. Despite our best efforts, we still need help.
My students often come to school tired and hungry, without having eaten breakfast, which makes it hard for them to learn.
We try to support them as much as possible, all of the ways to doing their laundry if needed, but it isn't enough. Often times they need to drop their brothers and sisters off at neighboring schools which causes them to miss breakfast as a result! They need healthy snacks during class to keep them fueled and focused to do well!
As a teacher, my goal is to make my classroom a fun a safe learning environment in which students are active participants in their learning. The challenging part is that many of my students come to school hungry and without the necessary tools for success. In order to both solve student hunger and create a fun environment, I have created a raffle ticket system which allows students to earn tickets for school supplies and healthy snacks to keep them engaged and fueled for learning!
Each day my students face the challenges of coming to school and being expected to learn with an empty stomach and nothing to write with.
Studies have proven that low blood sugar inhibits neurons in the brain that promote healthy brain function. Having a healthy snack will help to sharpen the necessary problem-solving and decision-making skills my students are fostering. These snacks are the little push my students need to remain engaged and gaining the knowledge they need for high school and beyond!
In addition to the shortage of food, most of my students arrive at school each day without a pencil. While it seems like something so small, it makes a difference in their day when I can offer them something to write with. The problem is, with over 100 students, I run out of pencils very quickly. With my raffle ticket system, students can also trade their ticket in for an extra pencil to use in their other classes. With the proper materials, my students can focus on their learning instead of worrying where to find something to write with.
