Healthy Snacks & Clean Air for 2022!

Help me give my students food and a clean environment. The air filter will help my students who suffer from allergies. The food will help provide substantial nourishment for students who are frequently hungry.

My Students

I love working with all of my students. I currently work with all of the students in my school serving as the School Assessment Coordinator. I also work in small groups with students to prepare them for assessments. I have built lots of small communities with my students to build trusting relationships with them. I have over 1,750 students in my school and over 75% of the students are on Free or Reduced Lunch. We also have a large ESOL and ESE population at our school that I work closely with. Students regularly come to see me for food, drinks, toiletries, or just to prepare for their day.

Many of our students do not see their own value or worth.

Every day our school community works hard to ensure our students get past their personal difficulties to grow into valuable members of our community and world.

I appreciate (as do my students) all of the support our donors have provided to our classes over the past year and continue to provide.

My Project

My students come to school hungry every day. They are given funded meals through the school, but many do not eat because it is not necessarily what they prefer. Many do not have the funds for the vending machines and many times the vending machines are not working or are shut off. They struggle to concentrate when they are focused on eating. Some kids ask for a snack to take home with them so they have something to eat at home. I try to make sure to have foods or snacks that will benefit them in a healthy manner. Allergies are also a huge issue as well, having the cleaning supplies and air purifier will make a huge impact on those who struggle with allergies. The cart will be used to organize the snacks for the students to easily grab what they need.
