Healthy Snacks, Clean Air - Enhanced Learning

My Project

My students are 3rd and 4th-grade students in an older elementary school. Covid has taught us that not being in school is detrimental to the student's education. Our students need to be in school every day! I am requesting healthy snacks for my students to eat during the day, and also to grab to take home with them. I am also requesting an air purifier for my classroom.

The most significant benefit of students not being absent is consistent and uninterrupted learning.

When students attend school regularly, and their basic needs are met, they have the opportunity to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, fostering academic success. Overall, consistent attendance sets the stage for a positive and productive educational experience. Many of my students are not able to bring snacks to school. They know they can grab one from my snack closet, to eat at school, and also to take one home with them after school. The air purifier will have a positive impact on the overall health of our students, creating a conducive environment for learning. The potential reduction in illness-related absenteeism will contribute to improved attendance rates and academic performance.
