Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at an elementary school with over four hundred students. One hundred percent of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of the students come from diverse backgrounds, and school is the only constant in their day, but that doesn't stop the students from being the best they can be.
Thank you in advance for your generosity toward my students and helping them become successful students.
I want to make sure they have all the supplies they need to be successful in science and social studies.
My Project
In my cart I am asking for healthy snacks to provide my 4th graders. Granola bars, gold fish crackers, dried fruit, and pop chips are a healthy snack that the students need during the day. They are the perfect size to fuel their body and their minds.
Hungry children worry about food, not learning.
All of my students have breakfast at school but the school day is long and learning is hard work. By the time lunch comes the students are asking when is it time to eat, they can't focus on anything else. By supplying the students with a snack at mid-morning they are able to continue to learn through out the day.
