This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My first graders are amazing. My students come to class every morning wondering what new things they are gong to learn today. They want to be better readers, writers, scientists and mathematicians, to make their futures brighter.
In my class, we are superheroes in training and work each day in Superhero mode.
My students come from a low income area where many of them go without food, clean clothes, and the essentials on a daily basis. Our school is Title I, where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
Our school is very focused on student achievement and growth and to make sure that happens, they must come to school ready to learn. In an effort to help, my school celebrates classrooms that have achieved Perfect Attendance on a weekly and monthly basis. My goal, is to earn one of those attendance awards this year.
My students often come to class with runny noses, coughs,dry, cracked hands and they end up spreading germs to each other, this has to stop.
The Clorox wipes and disinfectant spray will help create an environment where germs cannot thrive. The Kleenex tissues will allow my students to blow their noses with a product that helps eliminate the spread of germs and the liquid hand soap and hand sanitizer will help my students clean their hands and get back to work.
It is my sole purpose to create a healthy, germ free environment, where my students know they come to and have the basic necessities to stay clean and healthy throughout the day.
