I teach a class of 25 amazing second graders. They are loving, intelligent, kind, and funny. They come to school wanting to learn and become better citizens.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many come from families at lower income levels.
Many come from challenging home environments and have limited resources at home. I also have English language learners and students with special needs such as autism, ADD, and ADHD. Many of my students do not have the basic supplies to help them succeed. The one thing they all have in common is that they are eager to learn.
My Project
I would like to do everything I can to keep my students healthy and protected during the Covid 19 pandemic. My students are attending school in person and have been for the entire school year. I would like to get a supply of N95 masks to wear in the classroom. Face masks are critical since we will be indoors for over six hours per day. These masks are rated highly and recommended by many. I would also like to get Lysol all purpose cleaner to use for cleaning tables and surfaces.
A healthy child is a better learner.
I would like to do my part in helping my students who often face systemic barriers to health and wellness. As a teacher, I will teach them how to be germ free and healthy. Thank you so much for helping my learners!
