My Project

The Comfort Closet at my elementary school ensures that students have a safe school-based space to obtain needed items if the need arises. We allow students to access necessities such as deodorant, feminine hygiene products, masks and toothbrushes during the day.

When students have access to the basic everyday essentials they become better prepared to learn.

By ensuring that our Comfort Closet is properly equipped with hygiene products such as dish soap, laundry soap, and cleaning supplies, we are able to have open hours for our families to gather supplies for home. This is one of the ways we are supporting the wellbeing of our students, which in turn has shown increasing attendance and learning capacity at my school.
