This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students receive special education services for speech and language needs. My caseload addresses the communication needs for special education K3-5th grade students. My students work hard to increase their speech, language, fluency, and social skills to communicate more effectively in the classroom with their friends and teachers.
My students have disabilities including, autism, significant developmental delay, intellectual disability, and other health impairments.
The majority of my students are in early childhood classrooms (K3-K5). My students love to explore fun games, engaging toys, cooking, and crafts to improve their speech and language skills!
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help keep my special education students healthy and focused while working in the speech room. With many groups of students in the speech room every day, I need cleaning supplies like Clorox wipes and baby wipes to ensure a healthy and clean learning environment. Additional supplies, like Bjorem Speech Sound Cues, laminating pouches, velcro dots, and dry erase pouches will provide my students with the support they need to meet their speech goals! My students will benefit from fun supplies like insect puppets, colorful stamp pads, and fidgets to keep speech therapy exciting and engaging!
