This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Attendance can be an issue in our school with a vague attendance policy I do everything I can to encourage students to just show up! Having a variety of snacks available to my student creates a warm and inviting space they look forward to coming to. Our population is diverse in many way including socially economically, some students do not get the calories they need to make it to lunch. We start at 7:30am and some do not get free lunch until 12:10pm. Having snacks available encourages full day attendance, because they know they will have something to get them through the morning.
