Naugatuck is a small town located in Connecticut. Our community has a strong unbreakable bond and connection and we always value safety for everyone. Its a small community where we help each other out when we are in need and we take pride in our education. Our students are athletic, hard working, dedicated, thoughtful and diverse. These qualities, however, are effected when the students health is affected. That is why it is really important that students are getting a healthy breakfast that they need to be successful.
My Project
This project will help improve the learning at our school and give students better test scores and take in information easier. By having a healthy breakfast, students will have a great day because they will have more protein and be able to focus on their learning. Having a healthy breakfast that is quick and easy to consume (like poptarts, nutrigrain bars, apple sauce, and cereal/cereal bars) will give students the energy to start the day. Students that eat breakfast have a lower level of bad LDL cholesterol and a lower chance of getting diabetes. Additionally, students gain a higher resistance to getting illnesses and other diseases. Eating a balanced breakfast also helps with obesity and maintaining a healthy diet. The point for all is to promote healthy breakfast. The costumes will make students excited in the morning and give them awareness to eating healthy breakfast.
