My Students

Our school is a small rural alternative school in Central Idaho. The economy has been struggling for years. This has made funding things difficult. In hard times we need to get creative to make it happen for our students.

Our classroom serves the most at risk students in the school district.

They were struggling with being in the traditional high school and came to us to get back on track. Many of the students struggle just to get their basic needs met and don't have the resources to bring needed supplies to school.

My Project

In our small alternative school we do not have a gym for students to use during break times. They are in need of activities that will allow them to run off some of the pent up energy that teens have during their day. They need to be offered activities that will help them be healthy and add fun to their day. We need sports equipment that they can use.

Offering students the use of equipment give them the healthy options they need to be happy and fit.

They like to go outside and get fresh air and shoot a few hoops, kick some balls around and run to let off steam.
