My Students
My students are very social, emotional, creative, intelligent adolescents who enjoy working together and creating projects. They enjoy brainstorming, collaboration, and putting together a final project for each unit.
I am the only health teacher in my school and get every single eighth-grader enrolled. I am constantly coming up with new interactive lessons and projects to teach my curriculum, but these projects need many supplies.
My Project
These materials will help students create 3-D handmade projects to show what they've learned. I've discovered in this digital age that kids miss hands-on projects and working with their peers. We will use these supplies to make poster board presentations, foldables, human body parts reviews for 7 different body systems, creating colorful plates of food that show each food group represented in every meal or snack and more! I will use some of these supplies to make prize ribbons for projects and my "wall of fame" stars for getting an A on exams.
