Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a School of Excellence. We are a dynamic community of learners empowering one another to become resilient, inquiring, confident members of the global society.
The mission of my school is to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that celebrates diversity.
We are a community that holds ourselves to high expectations in maintaining a culture of belonging, academic excellence, and innovation.
My school is located in a lower economic urban neighborhood with 95% low-income households and 100% of our students receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school.
My students also love physical activity and love to learn. My students are also receiving health education, learning the latest information so they can gain knowledge and make informed decisions on their on health.
My Project
The resources I am asking for are Toner for my printer and 5 sets of health and physical education bulletin board material.
The different sets of bulletin board material will help me teach my students the topics of the body, nutrient and wellness, as well as emotional health with growth mind set self-esteem.
The toner will allow me to print material for my 10 health classes a week thats 300 students using my printer. My students can then receive notes or handouts that are important to the topics we are discussing in class.
The schools copier is always out of toner as well and then you have to find that right person who is allowed to put it in the machine. This year I was told that I am no longer allowed to fundraise (sell health snacks ) and without that funding I will not have any funds to buy toner for my printer or other material to help me teach my students.
