My Students

My ninth grade Humanities students are a spirited bunch of young minds. They are eager to learn about practical and applicable topics that they can implement their writing and communications skills in.

They want to learn about global issues and communicate their ideas in different ways.

Through a variety of media, they are learning how to navigate and communicate in this world. They have the desire to learn in many different ways and to express themselves in an even wider variety of ways.

Ninth grade is also a very tumultuous time, as I'm sure we all remember. Using different forms of media, I aim to ensure that all of my students are reached and that they are taught more than just facts.

My Project

Ninth grade is a time we all remember. It is a time of tumult and emotional roller coasters. It's a time that we begin to find out who we are and deal with the world in entirely new ways.

The ninth grader head is full of doubt and questions, and hopefully some guidance and answers can be found in this book.

The book offers incredible artwork and sound advice in the vein of Winnie the Pooh. It is incredibly healing and therapeutic.

My hope is that with this book, it will encourage students to ask for help, to seek guidance, and to embark on a journey that will help them discover themselves. My hope is that this book will help this generation find its voice and not get caught up in all the troubles that plague them, but rather shine a light through that cloud.
