My Project

Children experience a difficult time identifying, understanding and expressing their emotions for many reasons. Some of these include stress, trauma, repeated exposure to community violence and mental health issues like anxiety and depression. The goal for this project is to provide students with coping skills necessary for foster overall wellness. The mandala stencils can be used to support students with relieving stress and increase focus while exercising the brain and expressing creativity. The workbooks will be utilized as tools to teach students healthy outlets for them to identify understand and release/express their feelings in a safe, healthy, structured and supportive environment.
