My Students

Students taking Web Design, Java Programming and Advanced Placement Computer Science often have great ideas for projects, but are limited due to not having the necessary equipment (like headsets with microphones).

Nashua High School - North is an urban school with an abundance of students receiving reduced or free lunch.

My students are bright students that have aspirations of attending college. It is my goal to give them the tools they need to be successful in college. They are motivated to succeed but often times fail to achieve their full potential due to lack of school funding. These students have heart, creativity and motivation. The lack of technology oftentimes prevents them from achieving their full potential.

My Project

I'm requesting Headsets with Microphones. These headsets would allow students to put sound in their flash animations as well as the Java video games that they create in my programming classes. Currently they have 3 broken sets that they have to pass around a class of 24-30 students. As you could imagine, this often times prevents students from working as they are waiting for their turn. These headsets would increase creativity and allow students to remain productive through out the period and ultimately through out the semester.

Donations could give my students an experience similar to those at a college level.

It is amazing how the littlest things make the biggest difference at the high school level. The things my students are capable of are great, if given the right tools.
