My Students

I teach 3rd grade at a title one school locate in Tulsa, Oklahoma. All of my students qualify to receive free lunch and 50% of the class are English Language Learners. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth academically.

Since 3rd grade is such a testing grade, we focus on integrating interactive computer programs to reinforce reading and math skills.

I incorporate Chromebooks in their learning to help provide alternative ways to reinforce information I have taught or things they need to review. This provides my students the opportunity to close achievement gaps and continue the path towards academic excellence.

My Project

The headphones would lead to more interaction with computer programs that are designed to fill in the gaps of the skills they're missing in reading and math. Once students start to grow they will see growth in their test scores. This will also increase their chance of passing the state test because the computer programs also allow them to work on skills that are on the state test.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to increase our learning by staying on task but also help build self confidence because students are given a chance to be successful at their own learning pace.

This will change our students' lives for the better because they will love school and feel success while having fun learning!
