My students need headphones to use with electronic devices in my classroom. We have iPads and Chromebooks. These durable headphones will provide my students with tools essential for using with their electronic devices.
My students love to learn and be engaged in fun activities through the use of technology! My students are a diverse group of learners, including English language learners and children raised by an extended family member such as a grandparent or aunt due to personal and economic hardships. My students live in a low-socioeconomic area in Oklahoma and our school is a Title I school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. As the Title I teacher, it is my job to serve my students to help close the achievement gap. I primarily focus on reading and math. In order to close the gap, I work with my students in small groups or on-on-one.
Working with students in small groups and in a one-on-one setting helps students gain the academic standards they each need, as well as close the achievement gap.
Our school is in the process of be coming a one-to-one with technology. We have received iPads and Chromebooks for students to use in the classroom with online engaging instructional programs. However, we do not have enough and/or adequate headphones for our students to use with our exciting new technology.
Headphones will help our students stay focused on tasks and block distractions while working on their devices.
Students will be able to engage with their device in an individualized instructional way. By reaching the individualized needs of students, they will reach, meet, and exceed higher learning experiences! Our students are excited about technology. New headphones will assist them and compliment our one-to-one technology initiatives.
