This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Each day in my classroom is an adventure, and I love it! I am working hard to mold my students into well-rounded citizens that can thrive in today's society. The biggest challenge I face is building up their self-confidence.

I serve a diverse group of students.

Their social and academic needs vary. They are very energetic, and seek attention. They don't care if the attention is positive, or negative. They just want attention. My school has a positive atmosphere that works together to meet the needs of all students.

My Project

My students will use the headphones daily. We use computer rotations during math. The students will use the headphones to be able to hear the program without adding distractions to the class. They currently turn the volume down to play the program. The headphones will also be used to help with oral accommodations during classroom assessments. Currently, I am reading assessments to a group of students. Using the headphones will free me up to monitor the rest of class, and also give this group of students the ability to test independently.

This project will help boost the self-confidence in a group of my students.

It will give them the independence they desire during classroom assessments. It will also add the pleasure of audio to math rotations, giving all students added enjoyment.
