Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Welcome to first grade! I have eighteen wonderful students who are eager to learn. My students are 6 and 7 years old. They are curious and devour all the information they are learning.
They are learning to work as teams, respect each other, and keep a peaceful classroom so they can all learn.
The majority of my students come from low-income families and qualify for free or reduced-price lunch.
Many of my students face academic and social/emotional challenges both in and out of school.
Regardless of their challenges, they come to school eager to learn and try their best.
My Project
In our school we are always in need of headphones. The headphones that students bring are not high quality and break easily. With broken headphones, my students are not able to accomplish tasks that require them to listen.
Therefore, I'm asking for headphones to make sure that my students have nice, new, comfortable headphones that work for this school year.
My students will use these headphones when using computers to complete math and reading tasks. These headphones will help improve my classroom environment and my students' work by helping them improve their focus on the task they are working on.
I would like to add that my first Donorschoose project that was funded 15+ years ago, were classroom headphones. After 15 years we need to replace them. Thank you.
