My students come from a variety of backgrounds. They range from special education, 504, English language learners, RTI, gifted and talented, to general education. In one of my classes I even have all of these mixed together! I love sharing their unique learning experiences and learning about them as individuals. Junior high can be very challenging for them as they develop.
Every day with my junior high students is an adventure!
Some days I get the mature young adults they are growing up to be and some days I get the children they are growing away from. It keeps everyone on their toes and is never boring!
My Project
My students use an online learning platform called Canvas to access my course. Through this, they are able to access many online resources to enhance their learning. One struggle we face is that many students do not have their own headphones to utilize in class when watching videos and listening to oral tests. This project is to provide us with a class set of headphones!
By having a class set of headphones, I will further be able to differentiate student learning to match each of their abilities, needs, and areas of struggle.
Additionally, this project will provide storage for the headphones that can easily be transported to computer labs, the library, or anywhere we may hold class. It will also provide us with disinfecting wipes and spray to keep our new headphones clean and to prolong their life!
