My students need headphones to wear while working on iPads and computers so that they can hear what the educational App's are teaching them. This will help enforce what we are learning in class.
The students in my class are from a variety of homes and families. Almost all of my students fall below the poverty line. Families have a hard time focusing on bettering their students in school endeavors when they are having to focus first and foremost on making sure their next meal is on the table. My students are hard workers whose parents do want the best for them and want better for their children!
Many of my students struggle with daily tasks, some of them do not even have the capabilities to hold a pencil the correct way.
We work hard to make our classroom an inviting place and a place that we all get to call "home". I realize that my students will spend the majority of their day with me, not at home, and I will as well. We are family in our room and we work hard to make sure our room is an inviting place, where learning is able to happen every day!
My Project
My students need quality headphones to use while using the technology in our classroom. This will help reinforce what we are learning in class through playing fun, educational games.
Due to increasing class sizes, I no longer have enough flexible seating for my students, I am asking for 6 pillows and a few other items to make my class set complete!
I have brought in lamps from my house to light our classroom, allowing our room to be more like home. I would love 2 more lamps to make our room just a touch brighter!
I strongly believe that when a classroom is warm and inviting it can make a huge difference in the way students are able to learn and what they are able to retain! Thank you for helping me succeed in the mission to prepare our future leaders!
