What an unprecedented time. It has been a whirlwind of challenges, emotions and uncertainty in the past two years. This year, students are returning to the classroom and I would love to give them the opportunity to work on hands-on materials. My school is a Title I school with a majority of students of low socioeconomic status. Parents have to work to make ends meet, leaving the students in the house.
Despite this, my students are resilient and adjusting to change as best they can.
They are eager to learn, communicate and thrive despite the lack of resources at home. With your help, I want to provide my students with the right support, resources, opportunities, and tools to enhance their learning experiences for in person learning!
My Project
The headphones will allow the children to have access to the online computer programs. Because of the recent rise in cases, students are working online to complete daily assignments. The headphones will allow students to work independently on reading and math without any distractions. These headphones will allow the students to work independently while fully immersed in their learning. The students love to explore and develop their skills but easily get distracted. These headphones will allow students to listen to the sounds clearly as they practice their math skills, hear stories being read aloud and follow along, and to learn English words based on their levels. Having these headphones will let the students know that their education is specialized for them and will motivate them to stay on task.
