This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third-grade class is comprised of 24 highly motivated students. My school is located in South Los Angeles. My school is comprised of African American and Latino students. My students are special because they know that if you come to school every day, then great things happen. Great things are happening in my classroom every day.

The students in my class make great efforts to obtain excellence.

My students set goals for themselves and, as a class, we celebrate when they reach their goals.

My Project

My third-grade students will use these earbud headphones during independent work time. These earbud headphones will help them focus while using a computer. During this time my students practice their Language Arts and Math skills. A focused class means more learning for everyone in the classroom.

I know that these headphones will make a difference in my students' learning and classroom lives.

Since we do not have headphones for everyone in my classroom some students get distracted with the noise around them during independent work time. I need my whole class focused during this time, so I can teach small groups.
