Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from low economic backgrounds in South Carolina. The goal of the district is to "Educate, Prepare, and Inspire students to become productive citizens in an ever-changing global society." All students receive free breakfast and lunch, and many students take home snack bags to provide nourishment between after school and dinner time.

My students are unique, but all my students are eager to learn despite their challenges.

They are fully energized and love to engage in their learning.

My Project

These headphones will allow students to hear the modules on our computer-based programs. We have a laptop cart and a second computer lab, but many of my students do not have headphones and cannot afford to purchase any. So these headphones are to help students listen to learning modules.

These headphones will help students hear so that students can hone in and focus on their learning and master their math concepts.

These headphones will also allow me to generate a flipped classroom approach. This approach will allow my students to access and or build their background knowledge prior to instruction.
